Printmaking is a medium of boundless potential, offering the unique ability to replicate an image countless times while retaining the freedom to imbue each iteration with its own distinct character. In my practice, I harness the transformative power of this versatile art form to create a tapestry of enchantment, weaving together elements of the mystical and the natural world.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of sources, including the intricate illustrations of Ernst Haeckel, the rich tapestries of mythology, and the profound symbolism of Catholic mysticism, my prints serve as portals to alternate realms, where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur.
With each change of season or shift in mood, my prints undergo a metamorphosis, offering a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of wonder. Like the ever-changing landscape of nature itself, they adapt and evolve, breathing new life into familiar motifs and themes.
But beyond mere aesthetics, my prints are vessels of transcendence, offering solace and renewal to those who hold them. Through the alchemy of printmaking, I strive to capture the essence of the mystical and the divine, offering a glimpse into the boundless realms of possibility that lie just beyond the veil of perception.

Pocket Sunshine is a heartfelt homage to love, loss, and the enduring power of affirmation. Inspired by a handmade gift created for a beloved companion's 25th birthday, this series pays tribute to their memory and the enduring impact of their presence in my life.
The original piece, a hand-sewn pocket containing seven hand-drawn affirmation cards, was a labor of love crafted to bring cheer and comfort to each day of the week. Upon receiving this heartfelt gesture, my companion suggested that its message of hope and encouragement should be shared with a wider audience.
In commemoration of ten years since their passing, I have embarked on the journey of recreating this cherished artifact for a larger audience to experience and cherish.
Pocket Sunshine comprises ten affirmation cards imbued with messages of courage, comfort, and grace, serving as beacons of light in moments of darkness. Each card is a reminder of the strength and resilience that resides within us all, offering solace and support to those in need.
In crafting this series, I draw upon symbols of hope and inclusivity, referencing the rainbow as a nod to my companion's nickname, Rainbow Man, and the LGBTQA flag as a gesture of solidarity with a diverse and vibrant community. By embracing these symbols, Pocket Sunshine aspires to create a space of warmth and acceptance for all who encounter it, regardless of background or identity.
Ultimately, Pocket Sunshine is a testament to the transformative power of love and the enduring legacy of those we hold dear. It is my hope that this series serves as a source of comfort and inspiration, illuminating the path towards healing and wholeness for all who seek it.

At its core, Composting Culture is a celebration of the eclectic and the unexpected. By melding together fragments of personal narrative, fairy tales, mass media, and pop culture, I seek to unravel the layers of meaning embedded within our collective consciousness. Each piece is a patchwork quilt of memories and dreams, inviting viewers to journey through a labyrinth of imagery and symbolism.
In my exploration of this fertile terrain, I draw upon the visual language of scrapbooking, infusing each composition with a sense of intimacy and nostalgia. Like a curator assembling a museum of the mind, I juxtapose found objects and ephemera, allowing them to converse and collide in a riotous dance of color and texture.
Yet beneath the surface whimsy lies a deeper interrogation of cultural norms and expectations. By incorporating elements of National Geographic propaganda, I confront the constructed narratives that shape our understanding of the world around us, challenging viewers to question their assumptions and biases.
Ultimately, Composting Culture is a testament to the power of creativity to transcend boundaries and forge connections. It is a call to embrace the chaos of existence and find beauty in the unexpected, reminding us that even in the most unlikely of places, magic can be found.
